Local Area

The Dovecote is situated on a farm at the edge of the North Bedfordshire village of Harrold. The local area is very attractive with stone built cottages and ancient churches, and there are plenty of options for cycling and walking nearby. There are two pubs in the village, one serving excellent food, as well as a Thai takeaway and Indian restaurant. The country park at the far end of the village offers space to walk and bird watch, children’s play areas and a café.

Places to visit

Harrold is located within a half hour drive of Bedford, Northampton and Milton Keynes - providing a good range of places to eat out, shops and other activities. Alternatively, Oxford and Cambridge are also within easy driving distance for a day trip.
